MEMBERS OF BIO 22 JURY [>>] which will convene in Ljubljana on 4–5 October 2010. Jury will select the award-winning works from among those that are selected for BIO 22 exhibition.

BIO 22 EXHIBITION [>>]

The 22nd Biennial of Industrial Design will be a comparative international design exhibition at which the best design works will be presented. The works that will be exhibited will choose an international Selection Committee, composed of experts from various areas of design. The selection criteria are stated in the Rules for Participation in the 22nd Biennial of Industrial Design.

 
Lecture Series on Visual Communications Theory

                                                                         
On Information Design 2009/2010

The lecture series is prepared in collaboration with Petra Černe Oven and Pekinpah Association

Lecturers will try to present significance and complexity of information design which is a deficient and largely undeveloped branch of visual communications in Slovenia. Its main characteristic is interdisciplinary blending of experiences and knowledge from the areas of graphic design, psychology, applied linguistics, architecture, information technologies, ecc.

SEE Project

Sharing Experience Europe – Policy Innovation Design
July 2008–June 2011

 

           


 
   
The Architecture Museum of Ljubljana/BIO Secretariat is a partner in SEE project: Sharing Experience Europe. The project lead by Design Wales is connecting 11 partner organisations from UK, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Slovenia and Spain with the aim to establish an active dialogue within each region at both an operational and strategic level in order to positively influence regional policies for innovation and design.



Six SEE bulletins will be published between 2009 and 2011. They will include research papers, interviews, updates, special reports and case studies about programmes and policies on design, innovation and related matters such as competitiveness, sustainability, R&D, entrepreneurship and social and economic development.
The third SEE Bulletin was published in May 2010.

BIO 21 Opening

 
21st Biennial of Industrial Design
2 October-2 November 2008
Architecture Museum of Ljubljana, Fužine Castle
Slovenia

The international exhibition, which was on display for one month at the Architecture Museum of Ljubljana, presented 126 works from 18 countries covering industrial design, visual communications, and design concepts.
9,963 visitors viewed the BIO 21 exhibition and participated in its accompanying program. BIO 21 was covered by Slovenian and international journalists; in addition, journalists from important international design media were invited for a special study visit, during which they familiarized themselves with contemporary Slovenian design and design-aware companies in addition to viewing the BIO 21 exhibition.
